Godavari Dutta is one of the artists who left no stone unturned to popularize Mithila painting, not only in India but all over the world. Her paintings are on display in the Mithila museum in Japan. Godavari Dutta’s one of the finest paintings, Trishula was also exhibited at the museum. She has traveled several times to Japan for her exhibitions in  Osaka, Tokyo, Kobe, etc..

Brahmdeo Ram Pandit

Brahmdeo Ram Pandit is an Indian studio potter and craftsman, known for his expertise in making pottery. He was honoured by the Government of India, in 2013, by  Padma Shri,  for his contributions to the field of art. Brahmdeo Pandit founded Pandit Art Ceramic, a manufacturing unit of modest proportions, in 1981, at Bhayandar, a city in Thane district of Maharashtra.

Mr. Tokio Hasegawa, founder and director of Mithila Museum and Chairman of NPO society to promote India-Japan Cultural Relations founded the Mithila Museum in 1982. He has also been involved in organizing the Namaste India which showcases Indian dance, music, food, tourism, handicrafts every year in Tokyo for the past 25 years.

He was awarded with the Jnanpith Award (2013) and Sahitya Akademi Award (1989) in Hindi for his poetry collection.Kedar Nath Singh’s poetry is characterized by simple, everyday language and images that string together to convey complex themes.

Namvar Singh was an Indian literary critic, linguist, academician and theoretician. He served as a professor of Hindi literature in several other universities. He was the founder and first chairman of Jawaharlal Nehru University’s Centre of Indian Languages. Apart from this he has worked as the editor of a weekly news magazine Janyuga, and Alochana, a Hindi magazine for literary criticism.
